Building*

This includes protection for things like fixed signs and lettering, tanks, poles, power lines and their supports, walls, gates, fences and landscaping. You also can get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.

Contents*

Property (Contents) cover protects you from the loss or damage to your contents, stock and equipment caused by fire and other perils.

It includes cover for money, theft equipment breakdown and seasonal stock increase. It also covers the costs to replace internal or external glass that is damaged or broken, such as windows, mirrors or porcelain.

You can also get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.

Cyber Liability*

Cyber liability insurance is a type of business insurance product which covers your business against both the legal costs and expenses, including compensation payments, related to cybercrime incidents. It also could generally cover crisis management costs to restore your businesses reputation after an attack or data breach and legal costs from any ensuing civil action taken against you or your company.

Business Interruption*

Business Interruption cover protects you from the loss of income and some of the increased costs of running your business as a result of interruption caused by events covered under your policy.

You can also get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.

How much does Business insurance cost?

No matter if you sell fishing tackle or lollipops, no two small businesses are the same. Each business has its own set of risks to deal with and these risks effect what cover you may need. That’s why there isn’t a stock-standard price of business insurance. When calculating the price of your policy, there are many factors that are taken into consideration.

Some of these may include:

  • The size of your business
  • How many staff you have
  • The type of small business you are running
  • The type of coverage you take out
  • Your excess
  • The level of cover
  • Your claims history
  • Your shop’s location

Why choose BizCover for your business insurance?

At BizCover, our task is to make business insurance a stress-free experience. Our platform is designed to help you compare quotes and get the right cover you need so you can get back to more important things like running your business. Frequently Asked Questions

Is Business Insurance Mandatory?

While there is the flexibility to choose what sort of cover you want for your business and the level of cover, there may be some situations where certain types and levels of cover are mandatory.

For example Public Liability or Professional Liability insurances are a common requirement for individuals who work on certain contracts, especially within the government sector. This is sometimes the case when becoming a member of certain industry bodies and boards.

Does Personal Insurance Cover Business Insurance?

It’s important to be aware that your personal insurance may not cover your business assets or property. If you have a home-based business, things like your home and contents insurance policy may not extend to provide cover for any liabilities which may relate to your business. You should check your policy details to check on coverage.
