Building*
Building cover protects you from the cost of repairing or reconstructing buildings your business owns as a result of fire and other perils.
This includes protection for things like fixed signs and lettering, tanks, poles, power lines and their supports, walls, gates, fences and landscaping. You also can get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.
Contents*
Property (Contents) cover protects you from the loss or damage to your contents, stock and equipment caused by fire and other perils.
It includes cover for money, theft equipment breakdown and seasonal stock increase. It also covers the costs to replace internal or external glass that is damaged or broken, such as windows, mirrors or porcelain.
You can also get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.
Cyber Liability*
Cyber liability insurance is a type of business insurance product which covers your business against both the legal costs and expenses, including compensation payments, related to cybercrime incidents. Your coverage may include cover for expenses and legal costs relating to data breaches, theft or loss of client information, business interruption costs, forensic investigation, data recovery, extortion, and fines and penalties.
It also could generally cover crisis management costs to restore your businesses reputation after an attack or data breach and legal costs from any ensuing civil action taken against you or your company.
Business Interruption*
Business Interruption cover protects you from the loss of income and some of the increased costs of running your business as a result of interruption caused by events covered under your policy.
You can also get optional cover for natural disasters, including earthquake cover**.
Portable Equipment
Portable Equipment cover protects you from the loss or damage to portable equipment, tools and valuable property anywhere in New Zealand. You can select your own cover limit and cover the loss of things like laptops and mobile phones anywhere in the world

If you have a home-based business, things like your home and contents insurance policy may not extend to provide cover for any liabilities which may relate to your business. You should check your policy details to check on coverage.
